This collaboration aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry by empowering student engineers with the right skills for the evolving automotive landscape.
About ASDC:
Automotive Skills Development Council is India’s first dedicated sector skills council for the Automobile industry, founded in March 2011 under Societies Registration Act 1860. It has been setup with its key objective to initiate, carry out, execute, implement, and assist activities towards skill development for the Indian Automobile Sector and meeting the entire value chain’s requirement of appropriately trained manpower in quantity and quality on a sustained and evolving basis.
With the support of the National Skills Development Council, ASDC is promoted by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA), and Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations of India (FADA).
ASDC provides prospects and a platform to all young generations who wish to work in the automotive sector by skilling them through a variety of skill development programs in association with industry training partners across the country. ASDC works towards capacity building by bridging gaps and upgrading skills of technical and non-technical workers engaged in organized / unorganized segments of Automotive & Allied Sectors.
ASDC is contributing to nation building through Skill Development in Automotive especially at the times when country’s automobile sector is experiencing growth. It has been also exodus of quality manpower to other sectors, changing technology with increased variability in production parameters and transformations in international automobile markets.
