The EV Safety Training by Formula Bharat is a specialized program designed to educate and equip students, faculty, and EV enthusiasts with the critical knowledge and skills required to handle electric vehicles (EVs) safely in a Formula Student context. This course aligns with the requirements for Formula Bharat 2026 and several Formula Student events globally, based on the current versions of their respective rulebooks.

Electrical System Officer Qualification (ESOQ)
According to Formula Student regulations, any team working with an Electric Vehicle (EV) must designate at least one Electrical System Officer (ESO) who holds a valid ESOQ. This qualification is mandatory for handling and interacting with the vehicle’s Tractive System, a critical high-voltage component.
The EV Safety Training offered by Formula Bharat provides certification that not only aligns with Formula Bharat 2026 requirements but is also designed in accordance with international Formula Student standards. As a result, this certification is:
- Essential for safe and compliant vehicle development and testing
- Accepted by multiple Formula Student competitions globally
- Ensures teams meet mandatory safety and documentation requirements

Course Levels Offered
Formula Bharat offers EV Safety Training courses that are structured based on the DGUV 209-093 standards, specifically covering Stages 3E and 2E, that are conducted by qualified EV safety experts at the following qualification levels:
- Stage 2E (Theoretical Training + Evaluation)
- Stage 3E (Theoretical Training + Guided Practical Training + Evaluation)
Certification
Participants who successfully complete the training will receive an EV Safety Training Certificate issued by Formula Bharat, validated by experts. This certification may serve as required documentation for ESOQ and is recognized by Formula Bharat and other Formula Student competitions that mandate such qualifications.
