About Skill Council for Green Jobs:
Skill Council for Green Jobs (SCGJ) was established in Oct 2015 under the aegis of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India to address skilled manpower requirement for the emerging climate resilient technologies and India’s commitment to UNFCCC. SCGJ is now formally recognized as an “Awarding Body” by the NCVET, the regulator of skills ecosystem in India. Promoted by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and Confederation of Indian Industry, SCGJ was set up as a not-for-profit, autonomous, and industry-led organisation with a mandate to design and implement a wide range of capacity-building and skilling interventions. SCGJ aims to identify the skill needs in cross cutting Green business sector, and implement nation-wide, industry-led, collaborative skills development and entrepreneurial development initiatives to ensure our youth are skilled as per industry standards and industry has an access to suitably trained and certified workforce. In line with the National Education Policy 2020 of India, SCGJ is also working now towards introducing vocational education in Green Business sectors in Schools, Universities and Engineering institutions.

This collaboration connects SCGJ’s national skilling agenda with Formula Bharat’s student engineering ecosystem, creating a shared value space for industry-relevant training, content-driven outreach, and future-forward dialogue on electric mobility and sustainability, while spotlighting innovation and talent.
